In the last days of the year, at the Dien Bien Provincial Employment Festival in 2025, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of Dien Bien Department of Home Affairs - said: "In 2025, the province created new jobs for more than 9,000 workers, of which nearly 200 workers went to work abroad under contracts. Despite the abundant supply, there is still a paradox of "those looking for jobs, those looking for people".
According to the Director of the Department of Home Affairs, although the province has a young population, there is an abundant labor force with great development potential in the fields of services, tourism, agriculture, processing industry and labor export. However, the proportion of workers who have not yet dived still accounts for the majority.
Therefore, organizing the Job Fair will help connect labor supply and demand. To help young workers and people access transparent information, helping agencies and businesses choose the right human resources according to market demand.

Talking to reporters at the Job Fair, Ms. Ca Thi Hoa (36 years old, Thai ethnic group, residing in Thanh An commune) said that she is actively referring and researching information from businesses and units. "Because they are an ethnic minority, their skills are limited, finding a suitable job is very difficult" - Ms. Hoa said.
Representatives of some businesses that are recruiting workers said that the current level of labor skills in the locality is not uniform, most of the workers are not trained. Meanwhile, recruitment demand changes rapidly according to the market and requires soft skills as well as vocational skills, especially in young workers.
A representative of Hoa Ba Education and Trade Service Company Limited (Dien Bien) said that the company is recruiting about 90 jobs in Tuan Giao commune. positions from employees such as accounting, collection, direct sales with an income of 5-15 million VND/month.
"However, recruiting workers in the locality still faces many difficulties due to low labor qualifications, most of the workers are not trained" - the company representative added.
Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Dien Bien province - said that job creation is a key issue in the socio-economic development of the province today, especially for a mountainous province with many difficulties like Dien Bien.

However, the province's labor market is still sluggish, with not many businesses investing. In particular, the rate of trained workers is still low, a part of workers, especially in remote areas, have not boldly learned a trade and have not proactively accessed job opportunities.
To solve the problem, in the coming time, the Department of Home Affairs will continue to advise the Provincial People's Committee to promote the implementation of vocational training for unskilled workers, associated with the practical needs of the market. At the same time, encourage businesses to expand production and proactively recruit and open training classes for unskilled young workers.
