At Long Son Petrochemical Complex in Long Son commune (HCMC), all production activities are operated automatically. Engineers take turns working in the central control rooms to ensure the entire factory operates stably and safely.
According to Long Son Petrochemical Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as LSP), production activities in the complex are supervised and controlled entirely by engineers on a computer system, while applying a predictive maintenance system based on digital technology, helping to improve reliability and stability during operation.
In the past time, the enterprise has also deployed more than 80 technology and digitization applications; more than 150 AI artificial intelligence projects; and more than 58,000 hours of training and fostering to develop the human resources team. Through this, the enterprise aims for green production, focusing on environmental protection, efficient use of resources and sustainable growth in the long term.
Engineer Nguyen Duc Hai Dang - Head of LLDPE factory production department, Long Son Petrochemical Co., Ltd. - said that when the entire factory is completely automated, it requires a methodical and clearly organized operating process, from the production line to the way personnel coordinate with each other. In addition, the production line is focused on investing in modern technology, green technology not only helps improve productivity, but also minimizes environmental impact.
Engineer Nguyen Van Trung - Cold Workshop of Olefins Factory, Long Son Petrochemical Co., Ltd. - said that to meet development needs, in the process of working, engineers participate in many training programs on technology and management, with on-site training support and direct tutoring by experts, to accumulate experience in both professional and soft skills. Especially the application of simulated operation training to improve practical skills. At the same time, gradually apply digital technology and artificial intelligence solutions to support training and improve operational efficiency.
The continuous learning process of Vietnamese engineers has brought clear practical efficiency, when LSP successfully restarted in August 2025 with all Vietnamese personnel. This success proves the capacity of the Vietnamese engineering team in operating the technology complex of more than 5 billion USD safely and responsibly.
Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra - General Director of Long Son Petrochemical Co., Ltd. - highly appreciated the capacity and bravery of the Vietnamese workforce, along with high safety discipline, quick learning ability and strong teamwork spirit.
According to Mr. Kulachet Dharachandra, Vietnamese workers can completely master large-scale industrial complexes with complex technologies. Therefore, businesses can place their trust in local human resources, constantly giving opportunities to Vietnamese workers by assigning more responsibilities, developing skills and sharing knowledge. By developing together, businesses want to contribute to the development of modern industries in Vietnam, based on the capacity and coordination of local human resources.
