On September 24, the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor in coordination with the Provincial Business Association organized the 3rd Conference to meet with typical businesses and entrepreneurs accompanying the trade union organization in 2024, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of "Vietnam Entrepreneurs Day" (October 13, 2004 - October 13, 2024).
At the conference, leaders of the Son La Provincial Federation of Labor held a discussion and exchanged experiences in trade union activities with units; presented symbols to recognize the contributions of businesses and entrepreneurs accompanying the trade union organization "For union members and workers".
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Cong - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the close coordination between trade unions and enterprises working together for workers will contribute to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations, building increasingly developed enterprises, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the locality.
The Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Son La province suggested that in the coming time, businesses and entrepreneurs need to proactively discuss and reflect with state management agencies and the Provincial People's Committee to remove difficulties and obstacles.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Business Association continue to promote the achieved results, direct all levels of trade unions, business branches, and members to proactively coordinate and accompany business leaders to promote the emulation movement of excellent workers, creative workers, successfully carry out the production and business tasks of enterprises and have practical activities to care for union members and workers in difficult circumstances...
On this occasion, Son La Provincial Federation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 10 outstanding enterprises; Provincial Business Association awarded 10 outstanding entrepreneurs.
Son La province has 127 enterprises with trade unions. In recent years, business leaders have coordinated with trade unions to implement legal regulations on grassroots democracy in the workplace, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises, contributing to the development of production and business, creating jobs and increasing income for union members and workers.
At the same time, enterprises have performed well the function of protecting legitimate rights, grassroots trade union organizations of enterprises in the province have accompanied employers to take care of the material and spiritual life of union members and employees; creating more motivation for employees to strive to contribute to the sustainable development of enterprises.
During Workers' Month 2024, businesses organized many programs to care for union members, workers in especially difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, etc. with a total amount of over 15.8 billion VND.
