Speaking with Lao Dong Newspaper reporters, Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation - said that with tireless efforts and overcoming all difficulties, in 2024, the unit completed and exceeded 32 set targets (of which 17 targets exceeded the plan); completed and exceeded 12 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Typically, activities to care for union members and workers focus on the grassroots, mobilizing resources to promote activities to care for and support union members and workers to stabilize their lives and work with peace of mind. Unions at all levels, agencies, units and enterprises have organized visits and given gifts to over 340,000 union members and workers, with a total amount of more than 318 billion VND (an increase of 95.6 billion VND compared to 2023).
In addition, trade unions at all levels have launched emulation campaigns associated with the emulation movement "Pioneer workers, civil servants, and laborers realize the aspiration to build a civilized and prosperous Thanh Hoa homeland", attracting a large number of union members and laborers to participate. Recognizing and praising the achievements of Thanh Hoa Trade Union, at the 6th Conference of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation was honored to receive the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, leading the country in 2024.
In early 2025, closely following the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Confederation of Labor proactively developed and implemented a plan to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Thanks to the Party" to all levels of trade unions from the province to the grassroots; caring for and providing practical support to union members and workers, especially those in difficult cases, those who have had work-related accidents, serious illnesses, natural disasters, storms and floods, and unemployment...
For the program "Tet Sum Vay - Xuan Ung Dang" and "Workers' Festival - Love Market" in 2025, including a series of continuous activities of trade unions at all levels in the month before Tet, with many practical and meaningful activities such as: The Provincial Federation of Labor visited and presented more than 18,500 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, those with serious illnesses, work-related accidents... with a total value of 12.8 billion VND. In addition, trade unions at all levels in the province deducted from regular budgets and mobilized agencies, units, and enterprises to visit and present gifts to more than 350,000 union members and workers, with a total value of about 190 billion VND.
At the 2025 “Workers’ Day - Charity Market” program, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor provided support to 62 “Union Shelters” with a total value of more than 2.4 billion VND. In addition, the Workers’ Market was organized with 100 booths providing essential products and services, and selling discounted goods to tens of thousands of union members and people.
Also at the "Love Fair" organized by the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, tens of thousands of union members and people were able to participate in unique art activities and folk games such as: Banh Chung wrapping contest; tug of war contest, drawing contest, worker dance contest... Creating a vibrant, joyful and warm atmosphere in the approaching Tet atmosphere.
