On the evening of January 20, the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor solemnly organized the program "Tet Sum Vay - Spring of gratitude to the Party", 2025. The event was broadcast live on Thanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, connected online at 3 locations: Thanh Hoa City, Quan Son District Conference Center and Yen Dinh District Conference Center.
Attending the program were Mr. Lai The Nguyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Thuy - Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Mr. Vo Manh Son - Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation; representatives of the Provincial People's Committee, provincial departments, agencies and a large number of union members and workers.
According to the Thanh Hoa Provincial Federation of Labor, in 2024, trade unions at all levels in the province have synchronously and effectively organized and implemented patriotic emulation movements. Through these movements, many collectives and individuals have emerged with new models and effective ways of doing things, which have been recognized, highly appreciated and rewarded by Party committees, authorities and employers.
The work of caring for union members and workers was implemented promptly, practically and effectively. In 2024, trade unions at all levels in the province organized visits and gave gifts to more than 340,000 union members, with a total amount of more than 318 billion VND (an increase of 95.6 billion VND compared to 2023).
Regarding union member development, 143 new grassroots unions were established, including 97 grassroots unions and 46 grassroots trade unions, and more than 38,200 new union members were developed.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Lai The Nguyen - Standing Deputy Secretary of Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee highly appreciated the efforts and achievements that Thanh Hoa Trade Unions at all levels have achieved in 2024. In that spirit, entering 2025 with new opportunities and chances, requires trade unions at all levels in the province to make more efforts, overcome all difficulties, to better care for the lives of union members and workers, especially those in difficult cases, those who have accidents, risks, and lost their jobs...
Proactively grasp the situation of union members, workers and activities of agencies and enterprises to coordinate in developing appropriate labor arrangement plans, minimizing the situation of cutting and terminating labor contracts; promptly resolve the legitimate and legitimate concerns and aspirations of workers, ensure a stable situation, enjoy Spring - welcome Tet, enthusiastically enter the new year with a new working spirit, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks set by each agency, unit and enterprise.
At the program, representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee presented symbols and commended 10 outstanding individuals in 2024. Representatives of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Federation of Labor, Yen Dinh District and Quan Son District presented 800 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances; provided support for "Union Shelter" houses to 15 union members in difficult housing circumstances, with a total value of more than 1.6 billion VND.
