After 2 meetings, on August 26, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) continued to organize the 3rd meeting with grassroots union officials after the merger at the Tra Vinh City Political Center Hall (before the merger), with about 214 delegates attending from grassroots unions and enterprises in Tra Vinh (old).
At the conference, the frank and open atmosphere was expressed through 11 opinions of grassroots union officials. The opinions focused on reflecting difficulties and obstacles in trade union activities at the grassroots level, especially in units with a small number of union members or scattered activities.
Policy for union members, union gathering in small enterprises and non-state areas, the need for professional training for union officials, support for union members in difficult circumstances, occupational safety and hygiene, and concerns about jobs and income of workers.
Representative of the Provincial Federation of Labor, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh - Vice President of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - directly listened, acknowledged and answered many issues under her authority.
At the same time, she affirmed that the provincial trade union organization will continue to research, advise and propose to all levels and sectors to remove obstacles, and better care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
"The conference is an opportunity for the leaders of the Provincial Federation of Labor to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of grassroots union officials, and at the same time, an important dialogue channel to improve the effectiveness of union activities in the new situation," Ms. Oanh added.
