With the theme "Hai Phong Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity", Workers' Month 2026, Hai Phong City Labor Federation strives for 70% of grassroots trade unions in business types with 100 or more employees to organize at least 1 response activity.
Each commune, ward, and special zone trade union registers at least 1 project, product, or task (specifically, the Industrial Zone Trade Union Board registers at least 5) to celebrate Workers' Month 2026, celebrate the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day May 1st and celebrate the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, in which at least 5 projects and products are labeled with grassroots level.
Each commune, ward, special zone, and grassroots trade union directly under it organizes at least 1 cultural, artistic, and sports activity on a large scale, encouraging cultural and sports clusters of workers, civil servants, and laborers to organize at least 1 activity to contribute to improving the spiritual life of union members and workers.
Hai Phong City Labor Federation will launch the Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, striving to admit at least 10,000 new trade union members and establish 20 new grassroots trade unions. Along with that, striving to have at least 75 newly signed and re-signed collective labor agreements, of which at least 30 are meeting type B standards or higher; striving for 10% of union members and workers to participate in proposing initiatives, technical improvements, and solutions to improve labor productivity; of which at least 30% of initiatives are applied in practice at units and enterprises. At least 1,000 safety guards are propagated and trained in operating skills, building labor protection corners, and inspecting 20 grassroots trade unions on the implementation of occupational safety and health.
In Workers' Month 2026, Hai Phong City Labor Federation will provide funding to support the construction and repair of 20 "Trade Union Homes" for union members in difficult housing circumstances; subsidize 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each allowance worth 1,000,000 VND. Industrial Zone Trade Union Boards, commune and ward trade unions, special zones direct 95% or more grassroots trade unions directly under the "Trade Union Meal" organization; "Thank you to workers" program.
