In the past time, Vietnam Social Security has directed the Hanoi City Social Security agency to directly transfer money to pay monthly pensions and social insurance allowances through personal accounts to beneficiaries on the 2nd working day of the month.
If in case the 2nd working day of the month coincides with a day off or holiday - the payment schedule will start from the 2nd working day after the day off or holiday. For those who receive pensions and social insurance allowances in cash, the social insurance agency coordinates with the Post Office to pay after the payment day through personal accounts.
Regarding the payment of pensions and social insurance allowances to beneficiaries in the Capital in June 2026, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - Head of the Department of Propaganda and Support for Social Insurance Participants of Hanoi City: "According to the schedule of monthly pension and social insurance allowance payments in the capital on the 2nd day, the Social Insurance Agency of Hanoi City will pay beneficiaries through personal accounts on June 2nd (Tuesday); for cash payments to beneficiaries, the Social Insurance Agency will coordinate with the Post Office to develop a timely payment plan for beneficiaries after June 2nd.
In June 2026, the social insurance agency will prepare more than 4,199 billion VND to pay pensions and social insurance allowances to more than 606,800 people on the benefit list.
Regarding the latest regulations on authorizing the receipt of pensions and social insurance allowances, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau said that the Law on Social Insurance No. 41/2025/QH15 will be implemented from July 1, 2025.
According to the provisions of point d, clause 2, Article 10 of the 2024 Law on Social Insurance, social insurance beneficiaries have the right to authorize in writing others to implement social insurance, in case of authorization to receive pensions, social insurance allowances and other regimes according to the provisions of this Law, the authorization document is valid for a maximum of 12 months from the date of establishment of the authorization.
In case of authorizing the receipt of pensions and social insurance allowances before the Law on Social Insurance No. 41/2024/QH15 takes effect, the power of attorney for others to receive pensions and social insurance allowances according to the provisions of Law No. 58/2014/QH13 can continue to be implemented until the end of June 30, 2026. Therefore, if the beneficiary still needs to authorize others to receive pensions and social insurance allowances, the power of attorney must be re-established.
According to representatives of Hanoi City Social Insurance, to ensure that the receipt of pensions and social insurance allowances is maintained continuously, beneficiaries need to implement as follows:
1. For beneficiaries, it is necessary to review the term of the authorization document.
In case of not continuing to authorize others to receive - In case of receiving directly through the owner's account: Prepare a written request (Form No. 14-HSB).
In case of continued authorization: Beneficiaries submit the Authorization Document (certified) according to the provisions of law attached to the Request Document (Form No. 14-HSB), which provides and fully declares information about the authorization such as: Term, content of the authorization; form of receiving benefits in cash or through personal accounts (clearly state account holder information, account number, bank); contact information of the authorized person;
2. Dossier receiving location: Post offices under the Central Post Offices, at the nearest grassroots social insurance office, at dossier receiving points under the Public Administration Service Center.
3. Note: Social insurance agencies, Public Administration Centers and Post Offices only work directly at headquarters or residential groups. We do not send strange links, do not request information through social networks or messaging applications. People should absolutely not access strange links to avoid being scammed and appropriating property.
4. Special cases: For cases of elderly beneficiaries, policy families, poor health, difficulty traveling... coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to propose appropriate support plans, including direct support at home when necessary.
