At about 5 am this morning (May 17), people discovered that a wood workshop in the area of Duong Lam ancient village (Mong Phu residential group - Son Tay ward - Hanoi) had caught fire fiercely.
Immediately after receiving the news from the people, the fire prevention and fighting force quickly arrived, approached the scene, deployed measures to control the fire, and at the same time prevented the fire from spreading to adjacent households.

After a period of efforts to extinguish the fire, the fire was controlled and completely extinguished by functional forces.
Fortunately, the fire did not cause any casualties, but many assets and belongings inside the wood workshop area were burned down by the fire.
According to people's description, this wood workshop has existed for many years on agricultural land, surrounded by surrounding walls, roofed, and enclosed with corrugated iron. Inside the workshop, there are many building materials, mainly wood, to serve the restoration of ancient houses. This is the working area of many carpenters.
Currently, the cause of the fire and the extent of property damage are being further investigated and clarified by functional agencies.
