According to Notice No. 199 of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province, for the 2025 Lunar New Year holiday schedule, cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have a holiday from Saturday, January 25, 2025 (ie December 26, Giap Thin year) to Sunday, February 2, 2025 (ie January 5, At Ty year); including 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off every week.
Agencies and units that do not have fixed holidays every Saturday and Sunday must arrange appropriate holidays based on the specific programs and plans of the agency or unit, in accordance with the provisions of law.
According to the announcement, for employees who are not subject to the provisions of Clause 1 of this Announcement (ie not cadres, civil servants, public employees and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations), the employer decides to choose the Lunar New Year holiday option as follows: Choose 1 day at the end of the year of Giap Thin and 4 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty or 2 days at the end of the year of Giap Thin and 3 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty or 3 days at the end of the year of Giap Thin and 2 days at the beginning of the year of At Ty.
In addition, notify employees of the Lunar New Year and National Day holiday plans in 2025 at least 30 days before implementation.
The notice also encourages employers to apply the Lunar New Year holiday, National Day holiday, Victory Day holiday on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1, 2025 for employees as prescribed for civil servants and public employees.
Previously, on December 3, 2024, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs issued Notice 6150/TB-BLDTBXH on Lunar New Year holidays, National Day holidays, Victory Day holidays on April 30 and International Labor Day on May 1 in 2025 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
