Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the Dien Bien Provincial Federation of Labor - said that in the context of implementing the policy of reorganizing the apparatus, administrative units at district and commune levels, and trade union organizations need to proactively adapt. Dien Bien province has a large area, difficult transportation, dispersed population, workers mainly working in the administrative and career areas, education, healthcare, some small-scale production units... That requires trade unions at all levels to innovate approaches, increase presence at the grassroots level, and effectively take advantage of digital transformation to better serve union members.
In the coming time, the Provincial Federation of Labor will continue to focus on performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers. In particular, focus on organizing periodic dialogues, negotiating collective labor agreements, and supervising the implementation of policies.
At the same time, promote propaganda, develop union members, train skills for union officials, promptly reflect the aspirations of workers. The application of information technology and the effective use of digital platforms will be a strategic solution to improve operational efficiency in the new period. At the same time, continue to closely follow the orientation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, affirming its role as a reliable support for union members and workers in all circumstances, contributing to building a strong team of employees, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of Dien Bien province - the sacred border land of the Fatherland.
