Timely help union members whose houses are damaged or in difficult circumstances
Dong Nai city currently has nearly 800,000 union members working in industrial parks. Among them, many union members in difficult housing circumstances have been cared for and supported by trade union levels to build houses and stabilize their lives.
Prominent in the activities of caring for Trade Union Homes is the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, An Vien commune, Dong Nai city).
In mid-2025, Ms. Truong Thi Ngoc Cam's old level-4 house, a worker at Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd., had its roof blown off, walls cracked, and was in danger of collapsing due to storms. The family is in difficulty, her husband's job is precarious, and she has to take care of 3 young children, of which the youngest child often has lung disease, so she does not have enough money to repair the house.
Faced with that situation, at the beginning of 2026, the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. decided to support Ms. Cam to build a new house from the Trade Union Shelter Fund.
I am very happy and grateful to the Trade Union organization for their concern in building the "Trade Union Shelter" and valuable gifts to help my family have a stable place to live and feel secure in working and producing" - Ms. Cam said.
To date, the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. has built about 50 Trade Union Shelters for workers in difficult circumstances, especially those with dangerous diseases, single mothers or main laborers in the family due to spouses losing their ability to work.
Recently, the grassroots Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. and the Company's Board of Directors handed over the 44th and 45th Trade Union Shelters to two union members Ngo Thi Chung and Nguyen Thi Hong Van, both in particularly difficult circumstances, with degraded or seriously damaged houses.
Each house has a budget of more than 200 million VND, of which the Board of Directors and the Company's Trade Union support 60 million VND/house; the rest is from preferential loans and contributions from family and relatives.
Similarly, the grassroots Trade Union of TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company (Bien Hoa 2 Industrial Park, Tran Bien Ward) said that in the past 3 years (2023-2025), the "Trade Union Shelter" charity house construction program has donated 36 houses worth nearly 2 billion VND, helping many workers' families settle down and stabilize their lives.

And at the grassroots Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Tan Trieu Ward, Dong Nai City), from 2002 to now, the company's grassroots trade union has coordinated with the company's board of directors to build and repair more than 200 "Trade Union Homes" for union members and employees with an amount of over 5.4 billion VND.
Workers' Month 2026 takes place in May 2026, the grassroots Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. continues to award 2 "Trade Union Homes" to union members and workers.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that it is a business with more than 40,000 employees with 99% being trade union members. Therefore, the company's grassroots trade union always finds ways to provide stable accommodation for employees. Each year, the company builds 10 Trade Union Shelters for employees.
The company's grassroots trade union implements 3 forms of housing care for union members and workers: Supporting the construction of Trade Union Shelters for people without houses; giving gifts to workers building new houses; free repairing houses for cases of degraded houses. These activities help workers become more attached to the company.
According to the Dong Nai City Labor Federation, the Dong Nai Trade Union has well promoted its role as a representative, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, achieving many outstanding results. In the period 2020-2025, trade union levels have supported the construction and repair of more than 320 Trade Union Shelters for union members in difficult circumstances, with a total budget of over 20 billion VND.
