Accompanying him was Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union.
Visiting teacher Ho Thi Thanh Tam, born in 1976, lecturer of the Faculty of Preschool Education (Central Pedagogical College), Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh shared that the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union will take place from June 3 to 5, 2026.
Before the Congress, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor sends gifts from the "Gifts from the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" Program to encourage and share with union members and their families. On behalf of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, I send a gift to encourage and hope that the teacher will continue to try to treat and overcome illness to recover soon, return to work, and contribute to the unit," said Mr. Phan Van Anh.
Teacher Ho Thi Thanh Tam has worked at the Central Pedagogical College since 2002. In March 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. Ms. Tam had surgery twice in 2024 and January 2026, and chemotherapy twice, 6 sessions each time. Currently, she is undergoing targeted drug and long-term immunization treatment.

Moved to receive a gift from the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, teacher Tam said that since discovering the disease, she has received a lot of support from colleagues in the group, in the faculty, and the school's trade union. From assigning teachers to take turns teaching to encouraging her spirit and materially.
Since I discovered the disease, I have received the most affection from family, colleagues, and grassroots trade unions. Colleagues took me for examination, accompanying me throughout my fight against the disease; professionals and trade unions assigned people to take care of me, thanks to which, I have colleagues taking turns taking care of me all day. Trade union officials text, encourage, and ask about the situation every day... Being shared about both work and spirit, I feel extremely warm," Ms. Tam said emotionally.
Leaving teacher Tam's house, Mr. Phan Van Anh went to the Traditional Medicine Hospital to visit Mr. Nguyen Van Quan, born in 1998, lecturer at the Piano Department - Central University of Art Education.
Mr. Quan suffered from cerebral hemorrhage and had been operated on for 1 month. He is now awake but has not been able to communicate.
Present to welcome Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh and Chairman of the Vietnam Education Union Nguyen Ngoc An at the hospital, Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh - father of Mr. Nguyen Van Quan was moved by the concern and sharing of the trade union organization with his relatives.
According to Mr. Hanh, Mr. Quan is currently awake but cannot speak, only showing eye signals to the family. Since Mr. Quan became ill, the department's trade union and school leaders have visited and arranged for other teachers to teach instead, so he is assured to take care of his child.
Encouraging Mr. Quan, Mr. Hanh and his family, Mr. Phan Van Anh sent words of encouragement, visited and presented gifts to Mr. Hanh. "We wish him a speedy recovery, hoping he will always be optimistic to overcome the illness and return to work soon. Wishing the family to accompany him to overcome the serious illness," Mr. Phan Van Anh said.
The family is very touched by the concern of the industry union and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The care of the union over the past time my family has felt, today I feel even more appreciated for this sincere visit," Mr. Nguyen Van Hanh said emotionally.
