According to Section 1, Table 6 issued with Decree 204/2004/ND-CP stipulating the salary coefficient for military officers, in which, People's Army Majors have a salary coefficient of: 6.00.
According to the provisions of Article 3 of Circular 41/2023/TT-BQP, the salary of an Army Colonel is calculated:
Salary = Base salary x Current salary coefficient.
Currently, according to Clause 2, Article 3 of Decree 73/2024/ND-CP, from July 1, 2024, the base salary is 2,340,000 VND/month.
Accordingly, the salary of a People's Army Major from July 1, 2024 will be 14,040,000 VND.
- Salary increase coefficient (1st time): 6.40 - 14,976,000 VND.
- Salary increase coefficient (2nd time): 6.80 - 15,912,000 VND.
Note, the above salary does not include allowances and benefits.
Allowance levels for non-commissioned officers, soldiers and cipher students:
Military rank allowance level effective from July 1, 2024 = Base salary 2,340,000 VND/month x Current military rank allowance coefficient.
Amount of reserve difference coefficient:
The amount of the reservation difference coefficient effective from July 1, 2024 = Base salary of 2,340,000 VND/month x current reservation difference coefficient.
Allowances calculated based on base salary:
For salary earners
Allowance level effective from July 1, 2024 = Base salary 2,340,000 VND/month x Allowance coefficient according to regulations.
For non-commissioned officers, soldiers and cadets:
Allowance level effective from July 1, 2024 = Private soldier rank allowance (calculated based on base salary of 2,340,000 VND/month) x Allowance coefficient according to regulations.
