Effort to overcome difficulties
On April 10, at Nghe An College of Economics and Technology No. 1, the emulation bloc of vocational education institutions under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) organized a conference to deploy emulation and commendation work in 2026.
The conference was attended by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong - Standing Vice President of the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation - and representatives of units in the bloc.

The emulation bloc currently has 10 vocational education institutions with 699 officials, civil servants, and employees. In 2025, in the context of many difficulties, units still maintain and promote emulation movements, associated with political and professional tasks, creating positive changes.
Typical emulation movements are being implemented synchronously such as "Good Labor, Creative Labor", "Good Teaching - Good Learning", "Innovation in Teaching and Learning", gradually improving the quality of training and operational efficiency.
According to reports, enrollment and training work achieved many remarkable results. Many schools have large enrollment scales, such as: Nghe An College of Economics - Digital Technology No. 1 enrolling 1,556 students; Dong Khoi College has 1,811 students currently studying; College of Technology - Tourism No. 10 enrolling 1,259 students; Nam Dinh College of Technology No. 8 enrolling 4,330 students; Ninh Binh Trade Union Technical College enrolling 2,442 students.

In addition, many other training institutions also maintain stable enrollment scales, contributing to providing technical human resources for the labor market.
Emulation and commendation work is implemented in a regular manner, promptly commending typical collectives and individuals. Scientific research activities, digital transformation, and improvement of the learning and working environment are emphasized.
However, the report also pointed out some limitations such as the uneven expansion of advanced examples, and some emulation movements not going deeper.
Improving the quality of vocational training
Speaking to direct the conference, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hung - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of vocational training institutions in the system.
At the same time, he shared the difficulties and challenges that schools are facing in the context of mechanism innovation and increasingly high requirements of the labor market; proposed strengthening coordination and close links with businesses.
The Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested units to quickly stabilize organizations, consolidate staff; implement solutions to improve training quality in the direction of adapting to market needs; promote the effectiveness of the autonomy mechanism.
Along with that, it is necessary to take good care of the lives of officials, teachers, and workers; build a green - clean - beautiful, civilized working environment; promote digital transformation, innovate training methods, and affirm the role and position in the integration phase.
At the conference, the units agreed on the content and signed an emulation agreement for 2026, with the goal of continuing to innovate and improve the effectiveness of the emulation movement.
