The Tay Ninh Provincial Labor Federation has just issued a plan to organize Workers' Month activities in 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity". This is an important activity, taking place in the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the socio-economic development plan for the period 2026-2031.
According to the plan, Workers' Month 2026 is organized from May 1 to the end of May 31, 2026, associated with the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026). The activities aim to continue to affirm the role and position of the working class, and at the same time strengthen the attention of the whole society in caring for and building a modern and strong worker contingent.
The plan set out by the Provincial Labor Federation strives to have 70% of enterprises with over 100 employees organize at least one activity to respond to Workers' Month; establish 50 new grassroots trade unions, and develop about 15,000 union members. At the same time, about 10% of union members and workers participate in proposing initiatives, of which at least 30% of initiatives are applied to production and business practices.
Activities in Workers' Month are implemented in a synchronous and practical direction, towards grassroots levels and taking workers as the center. In which, the "May Dialogue" program and the forum "Union members contribute opinions to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era" are prominent, creating conditions for workers to directly dialogue and propose to Party committee leaders, authorities and businesses.
Along with that, activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers continue to be emphasized. Including the program "Thank you workers"; visiting and supporting workers in difficult circumstances; organizing "Trade Union Meals"; mobilizing to improve the quality of lunch meals; periodic health check-ups; reproductive health and psychological counseling for workers. Cultural, sports, and worker family festival activities are also being implemented to improve the spiritual life of workers.
A highlight of Workers' Month 2026 is the organization of "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment Day", focusing on supporting workers to improve professional skills, digital skills, adapt to digital transformation, green transformation and the requirements of the labor market. At the same time, labor supply and demand connection activities will be strengthened to support workers to access stable and sustainable jobs.
Through a series of practical activities, Workers' Month 2026 in Tay Ninh is expected to continue to create a strong spread, contributing to better care for the lives of union members and workers, while promoting the spirit of innovation, improving labor productivity, and making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.
