Responding to emulation movements launched by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union in coordination, officials and employees in the industry have been active, including many direct workers.
Mr. Pham Thanh Tung - worker managing the operation of power lines and transformer stations, Huong Son Power Company (Ha Tinh Power Company, Northern Power Corporation) - has had 14 initiatives and technical improvement solutions recognized by Northern Power Corporation and Ha Tinh Power Company. The initiatives originate from practice, contributing to improving productivity, improving working conditions, ensuring safety and improving production and business efficiency.
Mr. Pham Thanh Tung shared: "Always learn, love your profession, dare to think, dare to do and be creative from the smallest tasks. Each initiative, good deed and contribution creates value for the unit, community and yourself, contributing to building an increasingly developed country.
In 2026, Mr. Tung was honored to be awarded the title "Outstanding Electricity Industry Worker of 2026" by the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.
At Ninh Binh Power Company, Mr. Dao Thanh Cong, Engineer of the Technical Department, is one of the typical examples, contributing many practical initiatives to the unit's power grid management and operation activities.
In 2025, he had two outstanding initiatives: Lightning strike location filter tool, supporting incident analysis on power grid maps and AI application automatically extracting coordinates from drawings to standardize low-voltage GIS data - this initiative was recognized at the Corporation level, clearly demonstrating the mindset of approaching new technologies and digital transformation in the electricity industry.
In addition, Mr. Cong also proactively researched and applied software such as: Flycam, Litchi, Agrisoft in grid inspection - contributing to improving management efficiency and minimizing risks for workers. With outstanding contributions, Mr. Dao Thanh Cong has been awarded the title of Advanced Laborer for many consecutive years and has been recognized as a Grassroots Emulation Soldier...
Union members and workers have 15,250 initiatives
On August 24, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union said that, implementing Resolution 02, every year, Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) and the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union issued a joint directive to launch emulation according to key themes and tasks.
The emulation topics implemented include: "Digital transformation in Vietnam National Electricity Group" in 2021; "Safe, flexible and effective adaptation" in 2022; "Practicing thrift and combating wastefulness" in 2023; "Solidarity, creativity, emulation to excellently complete tasks to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Vietnam Electricity Industry" in 2024; the movement "Three Pioneers - Two Responsibilities" on key projects of EVN in 2025.
Linked emulation movements and sprint emulation on key projects are being implemented associated with progress, quality, safety and efficiency. Prominent are the Complex of works to clear the capacity of Van Phong Thermal Power Plant; 500kV Monsoon - Thanh My power line; Linked emulation movement "Constructing 500kV circuit 3 from Quang Trach to Pho Noi" is being implemented with the goal of "5 best": Fastest progress, best quality, safest - most economical, most creative, best care for life. The project was inaugurated on August 29, 2024, before National Day September 2, 2024 according to instructions, after more than 6 months of construction...
According to Mr. Do Duc Hung, the work of commending emulation movements has been strengthened. In the period 2021-2025, union members and employees throughout EVN Group had 15,250 initiatives, 3,070 projects, products, and tasks recognized; 4,516 collectives achieved the titles of advanced labor collective, excellent labor collective, and 15,980 individuals achieved the title of emulation soldier at all levels.
Every year, EVN and the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union coordinate to organize the "Outstanding Electricity Industry Workers" Commendation Ceremony to honor direct employees with outstanding achievements at units throughout the Group.
