Reality shows that Petrovietnam Trade Union effectively implements the High Productivity content. Here, High Productivity is concretized through taking initiatives, innovation and digital transformation as breakthroughs. This is a decisive content, because productivity is a direct bridge between labor capacity, business efficiency and employee income, so Petrovietnam Trade Union has coordinated with professional departments to widely implement emulation movements to create strong motivation, arouse the spirit of responsibility, will to overcome difficulties, aspiration to contribute and innovation culture throughout the Group. In particular, the "Petrovietnam Innovation" Program from 2024 to the end of the first 6 months of 2026 has recorded over 6,500 creative products, initiatives and technical solutions, bringing about an estimated profit value of nearly 30,000 billion VND.
These figures show that initiatives and innovation are not just a movement, but have truly become a source of business development.
From that reality, Petrovietnam Trade Union assessed that, to concretize the content of High Productivity, it is necessary to strongly shift from the thinking of encouraging movement achievements to encouraging with the actual benefits created. Initiatives should not only be evaluated by the number of recognized dossiers, but more importantly, the effectiveness of application, beneficial values, the ability to replicate and contribute to labor productivity and business production efficiency.
Linking increased productivity with increased income and welfare
According to the analysis of Petrovietnam Trade Union, the movement "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" only truly meets needs when workers clearly see the link between labor effort, initiative, productivity and their income, bonuses, benefits and development opportunities. If productivity increases but income is not improved correspondingly, the movement will hardly go deeper. Conversely, when workers enjoy worthy benefits from the value they create, they will have more motivation to innovate, create and be attached to the business for a long time.
This is also a very important content, directly demonstrating the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the Trade Union organization towards union members and workers. Therefore, the Trade Union needs to proactively participate in dialogue and collective bargaining to include contents on salaries, bonuses, initiative bonuses, welfare, working conditions, training, and vocational skills improvement in the Collective Labor Agreement and internal regulations of enterprises.
In particular, it is necessary to build a mechanism to reward initiatives based on profit value, especially for breakthrough initiatives and effective applications. This approach both encourages creativity and creates material motivation, contributing to attracting and retaining high-quality human resources.
In other words, if you want to have many initiatives, create an environment for workers to dare to be creative. If you want to have many great initiatives, let workers benefit worthily from the values they create. When the interests of businesses meet the interests of workers, innovation will not only be an emulation movement, but become a driving force for sustainable development.
