On the morning of August 29, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) held a conference to research, study, disseminate and propagate the Resolution of the First Party Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2025-2030 and to disseminate Directive No. 50-CT/TW, dated July 23, 2025 of the Secretariat on continuing to innovate and improve the quality of Party cell activities in the new period. The conference was held directly and online at 9 locations.
Attending the meeting of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor were: Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Party Committee Secretary, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; members of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor: Phan Van Anh, Huynh Thanh Xuan. Attending were outstanding party members and the masses.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang said that the first Party Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, term 2025-2030, was solemnly held on August 19, 2025, successfully becoming an important milestone in the process of building and developing the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. This is the first Congress after the General Confederation Party Committee was reorganized, under the National Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations.
The Congress approved the Political Report of the Executive Committee, the Reviewing Report for the 2020-2025 term; discussed and voted to approve the Resolution in the spirit of solidarity, democracy, and high responsibility. The success of the Congress is the result of the close direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, the Central organizations, the elaborate and serious preparation of the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, as well as the efforts of the affiliated departments, Party Committees and all cadres and Party members.
Immediately after the Congress, the Party Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor identified the organization of dissemination, study and implementation of the Resolution as a key and urgent political task, aiming to create a change in awareness and action throughout the Party Committee, bringing the spirit of the Resolution to strongly spread to each Party cell, Party member, cadre and the masses.
Today's training conference was held to: Help cadres and party members grasp the basic contents and new points of the Resolution of the First Party Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Equip methods and skills to effectively organize the implementation of the Resolution at the grassroots level. Create a high unity in awareness, will and action, turn the Resolution into a vibrant emulation movement, into a specific action program for each Party Committee, each Party organization, each unit and individual.
"I suggest that comrades promote a sense of responsibility, focus on research and discussion so that the training conference can achieve practical results; each comrade becomes the core core in spreading and bringing the Resolution into life" - Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized.
