Ca Mau workers have more opportunities to settle down and start a business

After the merger of provinces, the demand for social housing in Ca Mau province is more than 3,000 units for civil servants, public employees, and workers in Party and State agencies, excluding education and health.

Meeting the needs of workers

Mr. Nguyen Huu Khang and his wife, a civil servant from the old Bac Lieu province, moved to work in Tan Thanh ward - the center of the new Ca Mau province. To ensure work in the new place, Mr. Khang and his wife have to travel more than 100km every day, both back and forth, while having to take care of their two young children under 10 years old. "The inconvenience and hardship of traveling makes the need to own a house near my workplace urgent for my wife and I," Mr. Khang shared.

Mr. Khang's story is also the common voice of many cadres, civil servants, and workers who are working day and night in Ca Mau but still worry about where to settle down.

Understanding the difficulties and legitimate aspirations of workers, the Ca Mau provincial government has issued a series of breakthrough and humane decisions in many ways such as: Flexibly adjusting and expanding the conditions for buying social housing, allowing people with a house more than 20km from their workplace to register to buy, as long as other general regulations are guaranteed, etc.

The above expansion conditions are considered a strategic step, opening up settlement opportunities for the majority of beneficiaries, especially those working in state agencies transferred from the old Bac Lieu province. The above policy is also a "new wind", relieving major bottlenecks for many families, helping them to work with confidence and stay with Ca Mau for a long time.

Realizing housing dreams

As of September 2025, the whole province of Ca Mau has started construction of 3 social housing projects with a scale of more than 1,580 apartments. The province is resolutely urging investors to focus on completing the target of more than 600 apartments in 2025.

The Dream House project, in An Xuyen ward (Ca Mau province), invested by A Dong Infrastructure Development and Construction Joint Stock Company with a total area of over 13 hectares, providing 945 townhouses, designed with 1 ground floor, 1 upper floor, 1 attic with a diverse floor area of 90-140m2.

According to many customers who come to learn about the project, one of the "plus points" of Dream House is that each house is built with its own walls, solid concrete roof, optimizing living space...

The Dream House project develops a synchronous utility system such as schools, shopping malls, parks, etc. to create a standard, most convenient living space for social housing groups.

The Housing Development Company in Ca Mau has just completed 93 apartments and is completing the procedures to open for sale. Another project in Bac Lieu ward has also just been converted to social housing, contributing to ensuring the plan to "reach the finish line" on time for 601 units in Ca Mau province in 2025.

According to Director of the Department of Construction of Ca Mau province Du Minh Hung, developing social housing is not only a temporary solution but also a long-term strategy, demonstrating the responsibility of Ca Mau province towards workers working and contributing locally.

To speed up social housing projects and works, the provincial functional sector is actively advising the Provincial People's Committee on many solutions to shorten administrative procedures in the spirit of the direction of the National Assembly and the Government.
