On August 29, Ms. Duong Thi Minh Chau - Head of the Propaganda and Support Department for BHXH participants of Hanoi City - said that health insurance (BHYT) participants can change the place of registration for initial health insurance medical examination and treatment (KCB) within the first 15 days of each quarter to suit their place of residence, work or study. However, it should be noted that the selected KCB facility must be in accordance with regulations and the facility's responsiveness.
Time and principles for selecting initial HI medical examination and treatment locations
- Implementation time: Health insurance participants are allowed to change the initial registration place for medical examination and treatment in the first 15 days of each quarter, i.e. from January 1 to January 15 of January, April, July and October every year.
- Regarding the choice of initial medical examination and treatment registration location: Health insurance participants are allowed to choose one of the health insurance medical examination and treatment facilities under the initial medical examination and treatment level, near their place of residence, work, study and suitable to the capacity of the medical examination and treatment facility.
- For basic and specialized level medical examination and treatment facilities: Initial health insurance medical examination and treatment registration is carried out in the order of priority for subjects specified in Clauses 2 and 3, Article 7 of Circular No. 01/2025/TT-BYT.
- Regarding reception capacity: Medical examination and treatment facilities must still have the capacity to receive according to the number of health insurance cards allocated. The number of cards allocated is based on the needs, response capacity of the facility and actual conditions in the locality.
Dossiers and implementation methods
- Employees participating in compulsory social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance: declare the Declaration Form for registration and adjustment of social insurance and health insurance participation information (Form TK1-TS).
- Application method:
+ Pay directly at the social insurance agency as prescribed.
+ Send the dossier to the social insurance agency via postal service.
+ Implemented online on the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal: dichvucong. baohiemxahoi. gov. vn
Steps to change the initial online health insurance medical examination and treatment location
For cases of online implementation on the Vietnam Social Insurance Public Service Portal, participants can operate according to the instructions on the system:
Step 1: Access the Vietnam Social Security Public Service Portal at dichvucong. baohiemxahoi. gov. vn and log in using the method supported by the system.
Step 2: Select the procedure "Re-issuance, exchange of health insurance card due to change of time for 05 consecutive years, place of initial medical examination and treatment" - Code 612b.
Step 3: Enter the new original KCB location according to the list of KCB facilities displayed on the system.
Step 4: Check information, send documents and track results on the system.
Representatives of Hanoi Social Insurance noted that participants need to carry out procedures on time as prescribed; choose a medical examination and treatment facility suitable for their residence, work or study place and the facility's reception capacity.
