On July 9, Mr. Le Van Nghia - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor inspected the reality of the Giao Long Trade Union social housing project in Vinh Long province, and worked with the investor and construction unit on the project implementation progress.
At the working session, Mr. Ha Manh Cuong - Project Commander said that the project progress is currently under control thanks to proactiveness in construction organization and site management. To date, the realized value has reached about 31% of the package volume. Two blocks A2 and A3 have been unroofed in June, and the remaining items continue to be implemented according to plan.
According to the construction unit, the implementation process still faces many difficulties due to the sharp increase in fuel prices, construction materials and labor compared to the time of signing the contract. The supply of some types of materials such as sand, stone, and steel is scarce because many key projects are being implemented together, affecting the mobilization of resources and construction progress.
The contractor proposed that the investor consider adjusting prices for materials with large fluctuations, and at the same time support the disposal of waste dumps and soon complete arising procedures to create conditions to accelerate progress.

Speaking to direct, Mr. Le Van Nghia acknowledged the efforts of the investor, construction unit and forces at the construction site; requested units to organize synchronous construction throughout the project, not deploying individual blocks. In particular, it is necessary to focus manpower and equipment to accelerate progress in blocks A1 and A4, overcome the situation of slow construction, and ensure completion on schedule.
Mr. Le Van Nghia also requested to urgently complete the sample room; study plans to complete ceiling, walls, and tiles appropriately, ensuring quality, aesthetics and functionality. Construction must aim to create a comfortable living space, bringing comfort to union members and workers after each working day.
In addition, the Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested to tighten the work of safety, occupational hygiene and environmental sanitation at the construction site; rectify the collection and treatment of construction waste, strictly implement the requirement "clean up to where done".
Units must focus maximum resources to accelerate progress but absolutely not trade quality and safety, ensuring the project is completed as committed.

The Trade Union Social Housing project in Vinh Long, invested by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour with a capital of more than 554 billion VND, includes 699 apartments on an area of more than 3.2 hectares, with 4 7-story blocks and 2 parking blocks. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in the third quarter of 2027.
