Clause 4, Article 9 of Decree 33/2023/ND-CP stipulates the duties of each commune-level cadre position.
In which, the duties of the Vice Chairman of the People's Council at the commune level include:
a) Perform the tasks assigned by the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the Chairman of the People's Council at the commune level;
b) Assist the Chairman of the People's Council at the commune level in directing the activities of the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the Commune People's Council Committees within the assigned scope; sign documents and resolve the work of the Standing Committee of the People's Council when appointed by the Chairman of the People's Council;
c) Preside over or attend conferences and meetings assigned by the Chairman of the People's Council; convene and chair periodic and ad hoc meetings assigned by the Standing Committee of the People's Council at the commune level or according to the regulations of the working regulations of the People's Council at the commune level;
d) Other tasks as prescribed by the Party, relevant laws and competent authorities to manage cadres.
Thus, the Vice Chairman of the People's Council at the commune level assists the Chairman of the People's Council at the commune level in directing the activities of the Standing Committee of the People's Council and the Commune-level People's Council Committees within the assigned scope; signing documents and handling the work of the Standing Committee of the People's Council when authorized by the Chairman of the People's Council.
