According to the Hanoi Employment Service Center, in April 2026, the demand for labor recruitment of businesses continued the trend of rapid increase, especially in the industry - service group.
Hanoi Employment Service Center assessed that April is the starting time of the summer tourism and service season, businesses in the central districts of the Capital are promoting the recruitment of service workers. At the same time, industrial parks and export processing zones in the City still maintain a large demand for human resources for production to meet the order progress in the second quarter. In April 2026, the recruitment demand of businesses in the City reached 5,000 positions.
Hanoi Employment Service Center analyzed some characteristics of recruitment demand based on surveys, collecting information on 10,765 recruitment targets of 1,330 vacant job information at the Center, showing that recruitment demand is concentrated in industry groups such as: Wholesale, retail and other service activities accounting for 51.2% (down 6.2 percentage points compared to the previous month); manufacturing - construction industry accounting for 30.8% (up 2.7 percentage points compared to the previous month); tourism and travel services accounting for 6.4%.
In April, positions of senior and intermediate professionals and office assistants are the most sought-after occupational groups, showing that Hanoi businesses are prioritizing the recruitment of core staff to operate the office and technical apparatus. In the opposite direction, the demand for recruitment of simple labor positions, service and sales staff tends to slow down, showing the trend of streamlining personnel, prioritizing workers who can perform multitasking jobs.
The recruitment demand of businesses in April 2026 is strongly shifting to workers with professional qualifications. The demand for recruiting workers with university degrees or higher is leading, accounting for 28.9%; the demand for recruiting workers with intermediate degrees or higher accounts for about 2/3 of the total recruitment demand, showing that the requirement for qualifications is the priority recruitment of many businesses. However, the demand for recruiting general labor and technical workers is still high, showing that opportunities are still expanding for many workers.
Regarding salary levels, the main segment from 10-20 million VND/month accounts for 47.6%; salary levels from 5-10 million VND/month account for 37.3%; salary levels over 20 million VND/month account for 14.6%.
In the context of the living cost level in the Capital tending to increase, the current salary below 10 million VND/month is very difficult to retain workers. The fact that nearly 50% of recruitment positions are in the range of 10-20 million VND/month shows that businesses have proactively raised the income floor to attract talent and in line with the price level in the Capital," the Hanoi Employment Service Center assessed.
