On April 15, the Hanoi Employment Service Center said that in March 2026, the labor recruitment situation of businesses in the Capital recorded many positive signals with increased demand and diversity of occupations.
After the Lunar New Year holiday, businesses began to implement new business plans, leading to a sharp increase in recruitment demand. In March 2026, the recruitment demand of businesses in the city reached 50,000 positions," said a representative of the Hanoi Employment Service Center.
Based on the survey, information collection of 11,887 recruitment targets of 1,193 vacant job information at the Hanoi Employment Service Center shows that recruitment demand is concentrated in industry groups such as: Wholesale, retail and other service activities accounting for 57.4%; followed by the processing and manufacturing industry - construction accounting for 28.1%.
In March 2026, businesses focused on recruiting professional specialists/technicians (accounting for 20% of the total recruitment demand), followed by positions of office assistants (accounting for 18%), positions of assembly workers, machinery and equipment operators (accounting for 12.9%). This reflects the trend that Hanoi businesses are focusing on finding skilled personnel to implement business plans for the following months.
The recruitment demand of businesses also has a clear differentiation when focusing on two main groups of workers: personnel with high professional qualifications and personnel with practical professional skills. Accordingly, the recruitment demand requires workers with college degrees or higher to account for 40.8% of the total recruitment demand; general labor accounts for 27.9%; labor with elementary and intermediate qualifications accounts for 16.5% of the recruitment demand.
Regarding salaries, businesses mainly pay employees a salary of 10-20 million VND/month (accounting for 50.2% of the total recruitment demand); followed by a salary of 5-10 million VND/month (accounting for 46.2%). This shows that Hanoi businesses no longer focus on cheap labor but are shifting to recruiting qualified, skilled or experienced personnel.
