Trade unions accompany, care for and support union members and workers
In 2024, trade unions at all levels in Vinh Phuc province focused on caring for and supporting union members and workers, with nearly 160,000 union members and workers being visited and given gifts with a total amount of over 140 billion VND.
In particular, during the Lunar New Year, the Provincial Federation of Labor decided to support 12,740 union members in difficult circumstances with nearly 6.4 billion VND; supported 12,715 bus tickets with over 2.6 billion VND for out-of-province workers to return home for Tet.
Activities of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Hygiene
With the theme "Worker Solidarity - Implementing the Resolution", the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health in 2024 was held with practical activities such as organizing free health check-ups and consultations for workers; Giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances, workers with work accidents and occupational diseases; Organizing a 0-VND booth for workers in difficult circumstances, more than 1,000 sets of traditional Ao Dai were given to female workers.
On this occasion, the Provincial Federation of Labor spent nearly 4 billion VND to take care of nearly 2,000 workers. The direct superior trade union and the grassroots trade union organized many practical and meaningful activities to show gratitude to workers.
Women's activities have innovations and creativity
Within the framework of the Project "Improving communication, health consultation, occupational disease prevention and motherhood skills for female workers in industrial parks and clusters in Vinh Phuc province, period 2024 - 2028", in 2024, the Vinh Phuc Provincial Federation of Labor organized many practical activities such as: organizing 10 training courses on health care, reproductive health and motherhood skills for over 1,000 female workers; free health check-ups for 1,000 female workers; organizing a conference on maintaining family happiness in the 4.0 era for 400 union officials.
Efforts in developing union members and establishing grassroots unions
In 2024, all levels of trade unions in the province established 70 new grassroots trade unions; developed 19,084 new union members, bringing the total number of union members in the province to 177,476; introduced 1,478 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admission.
Organizing "Union Meals" at Trade Unions
Implementing the direction of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on organizing "Union Meals", all levels of Vinh Phuc Provincial Trade Unions simultaneously organized at 111 grassroots trade unions.
This is a new and creative activity in a series of meaningful activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, demonstrating the mark and role of the Trade Union organization through dialogue and negotiation with employers.
The Union meal is also an opportunity for workers, union officials and business leaders to get closer and share with each other in the warm and friendly atmosphere of the shift meal at the workplace, an opportunity to remember the glorious tradition of the Vietnam Trade Union organization.
Thereby strengthening the trust and attachment of union members and workers to the Trade Union organization and the enterprise.
Strengthening contact between voters who are union members and workers and provincial National Assembly deputies
Before the 7th and 8th sessions of the 15th National Assembly, the Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Provincial National Assembly Delegation to organize conferences to meet voters and dialogues between National Assembly deputies and union officials, union members and workers.
At the conference, workers proposed and recommended to the National Assembly legal policies related to workers, especially regulations on social insurance, health insurance, employment law, policies for preschool children... thereby creating cohesion, understanding and at the same time conveying many issues of interest to union members and workers to the National Assembly forum.
