Thanks to the union, workers have money to repair dilapidated houses
The whole Dong Nai province currently has 52 industrial parks in operation, with 2,298 grassroots unions with more than 784,000 union members.
To take care of housing for workers, Dong Nai province aims to complete 65,000 social housing units by 2030.
Joining hands with the province, Dong Nai Trade Union is joining hands to build a Trade Union Shelter to help hundreds of workers have spacious and solid houses.
On November 21, 2025, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund in coordination with the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation presented a Union Shelter to union member Bui Thi Le Ngoc - a member of the Union of Pou Chen Vietnam Co., Ltd., a worker in difficult circumstances.
Ms. Bui Thi Le Ngoc (47 years old, living in KP1, Bien Hoa ward, Dong Nai province) has difficult family circumstances, and has a small child with birth defects. The house Ms. Ngoc and her husband are living in was built 27 years ago and has seriously degraded and leaked.
Ms. Ngoc shared that she has been a worker for more than 10 years and is also the main breadwinner in the family. Her child was born deaf and is currently attending an exchange-traded class, not being able to study like other normal children. Her house leaks every time it rains and she doesn't have money to repair it. This time, receiving support from the Trade Union Shelter program, I am very happy and touched. I will replace the corrugated iron roof and repair the house, said Ms. Ngoc.
In addition to the attention and care of the Dong Nai Provincial Trade Union, grassroots trade unions at enterprises also have many activities to care for workers.
The Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Thanh Phu Industrial Park, Tan Trieu Ward, Dong Nai Province) said that since 2002, the company's grassroots trade union has coordinated with the company's board of directors to build and repair more than 200 Trade Union Shelters for union members and workers with an amount of over 5.4 billion VND. In the 2025 Workers' Month alone, the Company's Trade Union has presented 7 Trade Union Shelters to workers with housing difficulties, each Shelter worth 70 million VND from the contributions of the company's employees.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu - Chairman of the Trade Union of Chang Shin Vietnam Co., Ltd. - shared that the company has over 40,000 employees with 99% of them being union members. Here, the company's Trade Union always seeks to better care for the lives of employees, creating a comfortable working environment for employees to feel that the workplace is a "happy company". Each year, the company builds 10 Trade Union Shelters for workers.
Union Shelters help Dong Nai workers stabilize their lives
According to the company's Trade Union, this is an important social security program of the Trade Union organization, with profound significance in supporting union members and workers, civil servants, and laborers with difficult housing circumstances. The program not only helps union members and workers have a stable home, but also demonstrates the mutual love, affection and solidarity between the Trade Union organization and union members and workers.
The Trade Union of Pou Sung Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Xeo Industrial Park, An Vien Commune, Dong Nai Province) is also a bright spot in taking care of the Trade Union Shelter for workers.
To date, the company's trade union has built 43 Trade Union Shelters for workers in difficult circumstances, especially those with serious illnesses, raising children alone or being the main breadwinner in the family due to the inability of their husbands/wives to work.
