On July 6, the People's Committee of Thanh Nhat Ward, Dak Lak Province informed that the Ward Police are continuing to clarify information about parents reporting that the teacher who taught them to beat their child caused bruises on the buttocks.
The incident occurred at the house of a tutoring teacher on Nguyen Khoa Dang Street (Thanh Nhat Ward) on the evening of July 3.
According to the parents' reflection: "Through research, I discovered that the son in grade 7 had many bruises on his buttocks suspected of being beaten by a teacher.
Then, on the evening of July 4, I invited the teacher to the house to discuss, but the teacher admitted to beating the student 20 times. The reason given by the teacher was because the students did the wrong exercise".
"The ward police invited my mother and child to come up and take statements. If she had hit me a few times to deter me, I would not have had any opinion. However, the fact that she beat the student up to 20 times and showed signs of expressing her anger was unacceptable," the parent added.
According to Thanh Nhat Ward People's Committee, the Ward Police and the Department of Culture and Social Affairs have stepped in to inspect and work with students and parents to clarify the incident and strictly handle any violations.
