Ms. Tran Thi Thu Huyen (born in 1980) is the Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Vice Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Thang Loi ward, Pleiku city.
In 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic caused the traditional market to close, Ms. Huyen established a Facebook group to sell goods to help people consume agricultural products.
Initially, there were only 200 members, but now, the "Thang Loi Ward Agricultural Products" group has attracted more than 1,900 members.
Ms. Huyen and other members guided people to take photos and post articles selling clean, guaranteed vegetables, tubers and fruits. Thanks to reputation and quality control, agricultural products are consumed smoothly, improving people's income.

In Thang Loi ward, Pleiku city, where there are three ethnic minority villages that are still facing many difficulties, garbage is thrown haphazardly, causing environmental pollution.
Worried about this situation, Ms. Huyen launched the model "Joining hands to fight against plastic waste" and "Recyclable trash bins to raise funds for the poor".
After 5 months, the amount of plastic waste collected from selling scrap collected 3 million VND from 9 trash bins. This money was used by the Ward Front Working Committee to buy gifts for poor households, while spreading the message of environmental protection.
Not stopping there, Ms. Huyen is also concerned about the fact that many people, especially women, have not participated in social insurance and health insurance. When they are sick, they have to rely on the support of social organizations and philanthropists.
To overcome this, Ms. Huyen and the Women's Union of the ward encouraged members to save at least 100,000 VND/month to pay insurance.
At the same time, the association also gives health insurance cards, social insurance and non-interest-free loans to support members participating in insurance. To date, this model has been widely replicated, helping many disadvantaged women have the opportunity to protect their health and that of their families.
Ms. Huyen's practical initiatives not only improve people's lives but also change public awareness. These are humane models, contributing to building a green, friendly and civilized plateau.
In 2022, Tran Thi Thu Huyen was recognized as a Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level and received a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee. In 2023, she continued to be commended by the Chairman of the Provincial Women's Union.
In 2024, she received a Certificate of Merit from the Provincial Labor Federation. Notably, for 5 consecutive years, she has been honored with the title of "Good at public affairs, good at housework".
