On October 6, the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor informed the list of proposals to award the "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Member Award".
Notably, in the list, in Ho Chi Minh City, there is 1 individual proposed to be awarded an award, Ms. Le Thi Huong - Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union (CDCS), Head of the Women's Union of the Cua Y - A Chau Technology Company Limited (Tan Hiep ward, Ho Chi Minh City).
Ms. Le Thi Huong rose from a worker, attached to the enterprise, gradually developing herself and gradually affirming her capacity and reputation at the company.

During her work, Ms. Le Thi Huong has had many initiatives contributing to the development of a business with over 1,000 workers producing exported wood.
The female President of the Trade Union also has many initiatives on trade union activities, promoting solidarity among workers, and encouraging union members to be creative. Propagating Vietnamese cultural history, arousing the love of homeland in workers. At the same time, the female union president of this grassroots union also creates positive energy for workers to follow the example of striving and working.

Notably, Ms. Le Thi Huong has recommended that businesses implement many policies for workers, ensuring salaries, bonuses, and insurance for workers; Developing many welfare programs, improving the quality of shift meals, supporting workers in difficulty, and building cultural and sports areas for workers.
In addition, Ms. Huong also mobilized businesses to support 1 billion VND for people affected by storms and floods in 2024. She actively participates in social activities launched by local authorities, supporting many poor students to overcome difficulties in Tan Uyen.

Awarding for the first time
It is known that this is the first time the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor has organized an award to honor outstanding female union members, exemplary in professional activities and the women's movement.
The award aims to encourage female union members to promote their talents, creativity, contribute their intelligence and enthusiasm to the development of agencies, units, and enterprises, while building happy and progressive families.
The award ceremony is scheduled to be held on October 17 with about 400 delegates attending. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor will award prizes to 10 individuals; award certificates of merit to 20 collectives and 60 individuals who are outstanding in the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at home work" in the period of 2020 - 2025.
