On October 6, in Hiep Luc village, Na Ri commune, Thai Nguyen province (formerly in Na Ri district, Bac Kan province), a large sinkhole was recorded right in the residential area.
The hole is located next to Ms. Ly Thi Thuy's house, with a mouth of more than 1m wide, unknown depth, spreading cross-to-the foundation and only a few meters from National Highway.2B.
Notably, the new sinkhole is only a few dozen meters from where a young man fell into the death hole and went missing on the evening of May 26.

Immediately after receiving the report, the Na Ri commune government coordinated with the authorities to put up warning signs.
At the same time, the danger zone was cut off and Ms. Thuy's family was temporarily evacuated to a safe place.
Previously, as reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, this area had experienced subsidence with a depth of 5 - 8m many times, causing people here to live in fear and anxiety.

Last August, the Department of Construction of Thai Nguyen province implemented an emergency treatment project at Km80+050 of National Highway.2B.
Accordingly, the total investment capital is more than 4 billion VND from the budget to overcome the sinkholes that cause traffic disruption.
According to the technical plan, the deep holes are expanded and reinforced with steel baskets stuffed with many layers of stone cages, returning the road surface with crushed stone and asphalt.
Currently, the area where new holes have arisen is continuing to be surveyed to find solutions to ensure safety.
