The support of workers
Although newly established for less than 1 year, the B'Lao Ward Trade Union has implemented many activities to care for and protect the rights of more than 5,600 union members and workers at 41 grassroots trade unions. Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - said that in addition to taking care of Tet gifts with a total value of more than 2.687 billion VND for union members and workers, the B'Lao Ward Trade Union also mobilized resources to support 43 million VND for a family whose child unfortunately drowned; nearly 1 billion VND for a union member who had a serious accident. Many cases of illness and difficulty were visited with a total amount of more than 300 million VND.
Mr. Pham Van Quyen - a worker at Atlantic Vietnam Trading Co., Ltd. - said that the concern and support of the Trade Union and the business when his family encountered an incident helped him alleviate the pain and gradually stabilize his life.
Along with caring for life, the Ward Trade Union focuses on protecting the rights of workers. To date, 34 enterprises have signed collective labor agreements. According to the Ward Trade Union, 100% of enterprises fully implement salary, insurance and Tet bonus regimes; the highest bonus level reaches 60 million VND/person.
Thanks to proactively grasping thoughts, aspirations and coordinating to solve problems from the grassroots level, in the first 6 months of the year, there were no illegal strikes or labor strikes in the area.
Spreading emulation movement
According to Ms. Lai Thi Thanh Phuong, the emulation movement is a driving force to arouse the spirit of responsibility and creativity of union members and workers.
The Trade Union of B'Lao Ward launched the "Skillful Mass Mobilization" movement with the theme "Union members and workers emulate innovation, promote digital transformation, improve productivity and efficiency; bring the resolutions of the Party, the Fatherland Front and the Trade Union into life".
The movements "Good labor - Creative labor", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene", "Good at state affairs - Good at housework" were widely implemented. In the first 7 months of the year, there were 11 technical innovation initiatives and many technology application solutions applied, contributing to improving labor productivity.
Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health activities are organized practically with "Trade Union Meals", sports festivals, health check-ups, gift-giving, occupational safety training and fire prevention and fighting drills.
Union member development work achieved positive results. The ward trade union established 2 grassroots trade unions, admitting 504 union members, exceeding the assigned target by more than 5 times. Currently, the unit manages 41 grassroots trade unions with 5,637 union members, an increase of more than 800 union members compared to November 2025.
With the above results, Ms. Lai Thi Thanh Phuong is proposed to be awarded a certificate of merit for outstanding achievements in building and developing the Trade Union organization in the first 6 months of 2026.
Through this, the Trade Union of B'Lao Ward continues to become a fulcrum, creating motivation for union members and workers to feel secure in working and attached to the business.
