More than 20 years of attachment to the medical industry, Master, Doctor (M.D.) Nguyen Duc Thai - Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Thai Binh General Hospital (Hung Yen province) has always been known by colleagues as a person dedicated to the profession, constantly researching and innovating techniques to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment. In the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union with nearly 1,300 union members, Dr. Thai is also the nucleus promoting the creative labor movement at the unit.
Starting to work in the 2000s, Dr. Thai was always concerned about how to ensure that local people have access to high-quality medical services right in their hometown, without having to struggle to transfer to central-level hospitals. From that thought, he and the hospital leadership collective gradually introduced many modern techniques to serve medical examination and treatment.
The most memorable milestone for me was 2012, when I and the hospital's Board of Directors deployed the 128-slice CT scan system into operation. At that time, this was one of the modern medical equipment, contributing to improving the quality of diagnosis. I want to help people in the province access advanced medical services without having to transfer to higher levels," shared Dr. Thai.
Not only focusing on investing in equipment, M.Sc. Dr. Nguyen Duc Thai also directly researches and deploys many specialized techniques with many initiatives directly applied to practice. Prominent is the initiative to apply vascular nodulation techniques in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma, opening up more treatment opportunities for many liver cancer patients.
Meritorious Doctor, Dr. Ha Trung Kien - Director of Thai Binh General Hospital - said that Dr. Nguyen Duc Thai is a capable, responsible management official who is always dedicated to the profession. In his position as Deputy Director, he has made many contributions to professional work, deploying new techniques, contributing to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment. In his role as Chairman of the Trade Union, he always cares for the lives and protects the rights of nearly 1,300 union members, building a united, attached and developing collective.
The persistent contributions of MSc.BS Nguyen Duc Thai have been recognized by many noble awards. He was awarded the Creative Labor Certificate twice by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; twice awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Prime Minister, and was praised as a Typical Grassroots Trade Union Chairman by the former Thai Binh Provincial Labor Federation. Recently, Dr. Nguyen Duc Thai's family continued to be praised and rewarded by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor as "National Typical Workers, Civil Servants, and Laborers' Families".
