On June 17, Mr. Ngo Thanh Danh - Secretary of the Dak Nong Provincial Party Committee - said that the information that his daughter was restructured to become the permanent deputy secretary of a commune in the area from July 1 was incorrect.
According to Mr. Danh, his daughter is currently the deputy head of a local press agency's department, not on the list of proposed appointments to commune-level leaders as rumored by social networks.
All of his relatives are currently working at state agencies and will be transferred to the new administrative center in Lam Dong province after the merger. In response to public feedback, the provincial leaders met and agreed to adjust a number of commune-level cadre positions, especially those that have been disciplined.
"The province does not arrange disciplined cadres to new commune and ward leadership positions. Currently, the list of expected appointments of new commune leaders has removed the names of leaders who have been disciplined and reflected by public opinion," added the Dak Nong Provincial Party Secretary.
