On December 24, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union held its 7th Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
Attending were Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Dang Hoang An - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Members of Vietnam Electricity Group... and 200 official delegates. These are excellent union members, representing nearly 100,000 union members of 9 general corporation unions and 242 grassroots unions in the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.


Opening the Congress, Mr. Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union - said that this Congress has a very important task of summarizing the objective and comprehensive assessment of the achieved results, the causes of shortcomings and limitations in Trade Union activities in the past term to draw lessons and find effective implementation solutions in the coming time.
The Congress is responsible for setting targets, tasks and solutions to successfully complete the assigned tasks. At the same time, the congress is responsible for selecting outstanding cadres and union members with sufficient qualities and abilities, strong political will, enthusiasm, and responsibility, and being trusted by the masses to be elected to the Executive Committee for the new term with a reasonable structure, ensuring continuity and inheritance, and sufficient leadership, organizing the implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, term 2025 - 2030, continuing to build a strong Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, contributing to the sustainable development of the Vietnam Electricity Group.

The Congress Resolution clearly states: The 2025-2030 term goals include: Building a strong and comprehensive trade union organization, a solid support for workers, a reliable bridge between the Party and workers; Caring for, representing, and protecting the legitimate rights of workers; job, income, life, conditions, and working environment of union members and workers are increasingly improved; Innovation, creativity, and digital transformation in trade union activities; Participating in Party building, building Vietnam Electricity Group for sustainable development.
Some of the goals to strive for include 100% of union officials being trained and coached; 100% of grassroots unions conducting financial inspections and financial collection meeting targets, applying information technology; 98% of units implementing democratic regulations, dialogues, labor conferences; 100% of enterprises signing and implementing Collective Labor Agreements...

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Phan Van Anh and Mr. Dang Hoang An both highly appreciated the results of the activities of the Electricity Trade Union.
In particular, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh affirmed that the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has coordinated with the group's leaders to encourage union members and workers to strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges, overcome the sun and overcome the rain with the group to successfully complete the assigned tasks and goals; Clearly demonstrate the role of accompanying and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
Regarding the tasks in the coming time, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh suggested that trade unions at all levels in the corporation should continue to study and concretize the Resolution of the 14th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, closely following the motto of action: building a strong and comprehensive trade union organization; taking union members and workers as the center; focusing on performing well the function of representing, protecting, caring for the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers in the new situation.

Further improve the effectiveness of representing and protecting workers' rights, considering this a core, continuous task. Proactively participate in developing and supervising the implementation of mechanisms and policies directly related to employment, wages, income, working conditions, occupational safety and hygiene; improve the quality of dialogue, negotiation and implementation of collective labor agreements; promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations, resolve urgent issues arising right from the grassroots, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the corporation.
At the congress, 3 individuals were honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal; 2 collectives and 4 individuals of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Congratulations to the Executive Committee of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term; Mr. Do Duc Hung was re-elected as Chairman of Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.
