On November 13, the Trade Union of My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited held its 5th Congress for the 2025-2030 term. The Congress has 100 delegates representing more than 4,936 union members of the company attending.
During the 2023-2028 term, the Trade Union of My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited has promoted its role in representing and protecting the rights of union members and workers, especially in caring for their lives.
The grassroots union has spent more than VND 4.7 billion to give gifts to 14,394 union members, visited more than 2,000 people on hiatus and for long-term illnesses, and implemented a scholarship program for 3 consecutive years with a total budget of over VND 3.2 billion.
Organize periodic health check-ups for more than 13,000 workers and launch emulation movements, reward many outstanding individuals, create a safe and friendly working environment, improve productivity and solidarity.
Entering the 2025-2030 term, the grassroots trade union aims to develop 100% of union members out of the total number of workers, 100% of union officials receive professional training, implement the Directive, Resolution and law to all union members and workers.
The patriotic emulation movement was widely launched, ensuring 100% of strong trade union groups, implementing gender equality, introducing 58 outstanding union members to join the Party, mobilizing 90% of union members to participate in funds, collecting enough union fees, and enhancing the women's movement "Good at public work, good at housework".
The Congress elected 15 members of the Executive Committee (EC) for the 5th term, 2025-2030. In the first meeting, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the company's Trade Union.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Oanh - Vice President of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor praised the achievements in the past term, especially in caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
Promote the responsible role in coordinating with the company's Board of Directors, comply with the profound direction of the Party cell in operating and organizing activities, contributing to stabilizing labor relations in enterprises.
In the new term, she suggested that the Trade Union promote propaganda on policies, laws, and Resolutions of the Trade Union Congress, linking the study of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style with the application of digital transformation in communication.
