Gia Vien Ward Trade Union was established under Decision No. 759/QD-LDLD dated June 30, 2025 of the City Labor Federation (TP), assigned to monitor and manage 134 grassroots trade unions with 6,092 union members. Of which, the public service sector does not receive budget salaries, there are 12 grassroots unions with 987 union members; the production and business sector has 122 grassroots unions with 5,105 union members.
The labor and employment situation of ward employees is relatively stable, with an average income in the production area of more than 8 million VND/person/month. Labor relations in the area are stable, there are no long collective work stoppages affecting security and order.
Ward trade unions and grassroots trade unions in the area promote the role and function of trade union organizations in representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members. The rate of new signing of collective labor agreements reached 117%, re-signing reached 114% of the assigned plan. From July to September, the Ward Union will propagate and mobilize the establishment of 3 new grassroots unions with 271 union members. The Congress also approved the draft political report, directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term, the report on synthesizing comments on the draft political report submitted to the first City Trade Union Congress and the report on synthesizing comments on the Trade Union Charter (amended and supplemented).
At the congress, the City Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Gia Vien Ward Trade Union Executive Committee for the first term of 2025-2030 consisting of 11 comrades. Mr. Vu Duc Dung continues to hold the position of Chairman of the Gia Vien Ward Trade Union.
