Starting his career as a lecturer at the Faculty of Construction Engineering of Tien Giang University (TGU) in 2011, Dr. Cao Nguyen Thi not only participated in student training but also actively researched science, participated in professional activities and contributed to the school's academic cooperation programs.

With that achievement, he was successively appointed to management positions such as Head of Construction Department, Deputy Head of Department and then Head of Science - Technology and International Cooperation Management Department. In December 2024, he was appointed Deputy Principal, Vice Chairman of the TGU grassroots Trade Union. He has received many certificates of merit and titles, including the title "Typical Science - Technology Intellectual" of Tien Giang province.

He was introduced to participate in the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term at constituency No. 6 of Dong Thap province, including wards: Binh Xuan, Go Cong, Quy Son, Long Thuan; along with communes such as Luong Hoa Lac, An Thanh Thuy, Tan Thuan Binh, Binh Ninh, Vinh Binh, Dong Son, Phu Thanh, Tan Dong, Gia Thuan, Long Binh, Vinh Huu, Tan Hoa, Go Cong Dong, Tan Dien, Tan Phu Dong and Tan Thoi.
In the action program, Dr. Thi expressed her desire to focus on 4 heartfelt contents. First of all, it is the desire to contribute to promoting digital transformation for people and businesses according to the principle of "one declaration - multiple uses" in resolving administrative procedures, helping citizens, workers and businesses implement public services faster, more conveniently and transparently. At the same time, supporting cooperatives, small businesses and people to apply digital technology, trace origins, contributing to improving production and business efficiency.

Second, contributing to promoting science and technology and innovation to become economic development drivers. According to him, there needs to be a stronger support mechanism for research activities, technology transfer and application of scientific results into practical life. At the same time, he also pays attention to policies to develop sustainable human resource education and training, aiming to improve the material and spiritual lives of workers, laborers, and people. Dr. Thi committed that if he is trusted to be elected as a National Assembly deputy, he will strive to become a voice representing voters in the parliament - "close to the people, listening to the people and acting for the common good".
