In March 2026, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee just signed a document correcting the application of the "Secret" document regime to documents responding to citizens' petitions related to the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area project in Nam Nha Trang ward.
According to information from the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province, in July 2025, the province issued a document responding to citizens' petitions and this document was stamped "Secret".
However, after conducting a review and based on reports from functional agencies, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee determined that the content of the above document did not belong to the list of state secrets.
Therefore, the Provincial People's Committee has corrected and not applied the "Secret" regime to the previous document, and at the same time switched to the ordinary document form.
As Lao Dong newspaper reported, the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area project has generated lawsuits lasting nearly 25 years.
Regarding this project, people continue to petition the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee to consider recovering many hectares of land in the project area invested by Hoan Cau Co., Ltd. According to reports, this area has been abandoned for more than 20 years.
People also proposed adjusting the investment certificate of the enterprise in the direction of reducing the area of the above-mentioned land to ensure the legitimate rights of the people.
The Government Office previously issued a notice of the conclusion of the Standing Deputy Prime Minister after working with the Standing Committee of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee on removing difficulties for projects in the province.
According to this conclusion, the Song Lo Tourist and Entertainment Area project is assessed as a large, complex project and has generated complaints over many periods.
The Standing Deputy Prime Minister has assigned the Government Inspectorate to urgently conduct a comprehensive inspection of the project, soon have conclusions to remove difficulties, and at the same time release development resources for the region.
