On the afternoon of October 6, the National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City met with voters of Vi Thuy, Vinh Tuong, Vinh Thuan Dong and Vi Thanh 1 communes before the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly. Attending were Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong; Mr. Nguyen Van Quan - Director of the Department of Justice of Can Tho City.
After listening to the delegation's representative's summary report on the expected content of the 10th Session Program of the 15th National Assembly; report on the activities of the delegation since the 9th Session to date; announced the results of responding to voters' opinions and recommendations, 18 voters participated in giving opinions on the following contents: the slogan " good season, bad price" in agricultural production often repeats, affecting farmers' lives, needing to link up with businesses to ensure products for people; the updated birth and death of many shortcomings, including household registration management and population data, and functional agencies considering appropriate adjustments; currently, electricity prices are too high, affecting people's production, needing price stabilization.
Voters also commented that there are still many households living in temporary and dilapidated houses, so the relevant agencies need to take measures to support construction and repair; many roads in Vinh Tuong commune are degraded and damaged, need to be promptly repaired and upgraded; from July 1, the two-level local government will start operating, work in communes and wards will be very much, but the basic salary has not been increased, I hope the National Assembly, relevant ministries and branches will consider and recommend raising the basic salary in 2026 so that cadres can work with peace of mind...
Responding to the above opinions, representatives of relevant departments and branches and localities informed that many households are still living in temporary and dilapidated houses, the Department of Home Affairs of Can Tho City requested localities to review and make a list, so that units can coordinate with relevant departments and branches to submit to the city leaders for consideration and take support and assistance measures.
As for some degraded roads in Vinh Tuong commune, the commune will have a written report to the departments, branches and leaders of Can Tho city for consideration, support and investment in construction.
Speaking at the meeting with voters, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong agreed with the explanations of leaders of departments, branches and localities. At the same time, recording the opinions and recommendations of voters, the Delegation will then synthesize and make recommendations to relevant ministries and branches for appropriate resolution.
Earlier, on the same morning, the working group had a meeting with voters of Vi Thanh ward, Vi Tan ward and Hoa Luu commune.
