On January 17, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long visited and presented gifts to poor households, workers, laborers in difficult circumstances, and officials, civil servants, laborers and patients being treated at Lang Son General Hospital.Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also joined the working delegation.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long highly appreciated Lang Son province's preparations for Tet.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the context of "warm inside, peaceful outside" is a prerequisite for people to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2025 in a warm and peaceful atmosphere.He praised the province for seriously implementing Directive No. 40 of the Secretariat and Directive No. 45 of the Prime Minister on Tet celebrations, especially the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses and handing over new houses to people before Tet.
On this occasion, Lang Son province has sent Tet gifts from the President to families with revolutionary contributions with a total value of 7.2 billion VND.Implementing the movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025", the province will hand over 951 newly built houses to people before the Ong Cong Ong Tao festival (December 23).
The Deputy Prime Minister requested local Party committees and authorities to continue to care for union members, workers, policy families and poor households so that everyone can fully celebrate Tet.He reminded workers and laborers to comply with regulations on social order and safety, traffic to ensure safety for themselves and the community, and to return to work on time, maintaining productivity and quality.
On the same day, the Deputy Prime Minister visited and wished a Happy New Year to officials, civil servants, doctors and patients at Lang Son General Hospital.
This is the largest medical facility in the province with more than 800 beds and 827 medical staff.
In 2024, the hospital examined nearly 176,500 patients, treated nearly 48,000 inpatients and nearly 20,500 outpatients.The hospital also performed more than 11,000 surgeries and developed 15 new techniques, achieving financial autonomy of 105.5%.
The Deputy Prime Minister especially acknowledged and commended the hospital's efforts in medical examination and treatment, scientific research and deployment of new techniques.He requested the hospital to prepare adequate medical equipment and be ready to be on duty to ensure patient care during the 2025 Lunar New Year.
