On May 19, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Social Housing project at the Quang Ngai Trade Union Facilities Area in Tho Phong commune.
Implementing the Government's policy on the Project "Investing in building at least 1 million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers in the period 2021 - 2030", Quang Ngai province has focused on reviewing planning, preparing land funds, removing difficulties, and accompanying businesses to accelerate the progress of social housing projects.
In which, the social housing project at the Quang Ngai Trade Union Facilities Area was approved for investment policy by the Provincial People's Committee and assigned to the investor in Decision No. 330/QD-UBND dated December 30, 2025.
The project has an area of about 2.57ha, including 3 high-rise apartment building blocks, expected to provide more than 1,200 social housing apartments for more than 3,000 people. Total investment is about 1,092 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2028.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Cong Hoang - Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony of the social housing project at the Quang Ngai Trade Union Facilities Area is an important event.
This is not only a large-scale social housing project of the province, but also a project of practical significance for workers, workers and housing policy beneficiaries in the province.
Leaders of the Provincial People's Committee proposed that, in order for the project to be implemented on schedule and ensure quality, departments, agencies, branches, and localities continue to closely coordinate, focus on promptly removing arising difficulties and obstacles; create the most favorable conditions for investors to implement the project in accordance with legal regulations.
The investor promotes the spirit of responsibility, focuses financial resources, human resources, and equipment; construction ensures progress, quality, labor safety and environmental sanitation. Building truly quality works, meeting the needs of long-term residence and stable life for people.
At the ceremony, leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation and representatives of the investor presented gifts to support union members and workers at grassroots trade unions in difficult circumstances.
