According to the Department of Construction, currently, 3 large social housing projects are being implemented in the area with a total scale of more than 2,100 apartments, with a total investment of more than 2,000 billion VND.
In which, the social housing project in Phu My New Urban Area invested by Housing and Urban Development Investment Corporation (HUD) has an area of about 1.5ha, a scale of 296 apartments, with a total investment of 345 billion VND.
The project started construction in December 2025, and has now completed ground leveling, pilot pile construction and is completing procedures for selecting construction contractors and supervision consultants. The investor plans to deploy the foundation construction in June 2026, striving to complete the entire project in the fourth quarter of 2028.
For the Trade Union Social Housing project in Quang Ngai, with a scale of more than 600 apartments, total investment of more than 597 billion VND, it is expected to start construction in the second quarter of 2026. Currently, the Provincial People's Committee has issued a decision to lease land in phase 1 to implement the project; the remaining area of about 0.35ha is continuing to carry out site clearance work.
The social housing project in the Quang Ngai Trade Union Facilities Area, invested by the consortium Saigon Thuan Phuoc Green Real Estate JSC - VJCO Group JSC, has a scale of about 1,209 apartments, with a total investment of more than 1,092 billion VND. The investor is completing environmental procedures, connecting technical infrastructure, appraising designs and adjusting planning; the project is expected to start construction on May 19, 2026.
In mid-May 2026, leaders of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches, localities and investors to focus on removing difficulties and obstacles, especially in site clearance, completing land allocation procedures, and investing in connecting technical infrastructure to ensure project implementation progress.
Relevant units need to strengthen coordination, proactively handle arising problems, and be determined to put projects into implementation according to the set plan.
