In September 2026, Dong Ha Ward Trade Union coordinated with businesses and units to organize the announcement of decisions to establish many new grassroots trade unions.
Dong Ha Ward Trade Union has established the grassroots trade union of U-TEX Textile Technology Co., Ltd. with 50 union members; the grassroots trade union of Bao Binh Infrastructure Investment and Development Joint Stock Company with 21 union members; the grassroots trade union of PTS Vietnam Logistics Joint Stock Company with 17 union members and the grassroots trade union of Manh Linh Vocational Education Center with 50 union members.
In Nam Dong Ha ward, the Ward Trade Union also held a ceremony to announce the decision to establish the grassroots trade union of the Investment and Construction Project Management Board of Nam Dong Ha ward, recognizing 14 trade union members.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hang - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Ha Ward, Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Dong Ha Ward, trade union officials regularly come to the area to guide businesses to establish trade union organizations, propagate and mobilize workers to join trade union organizations.
The establishment of grassroots trade unions not only helps gather workers but also creates a bridge between businesses and workers, contributing to building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations.
Mr. Nguyen The Lap - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation - said that by August 2026, the whole province had more than 711 grassroots trade unions, gathering more than 46,000 union members in economic sectors.
In recent years, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation has focused on implementing many key tasks such as participating in building policies related to employment, wages, income, social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; proposing housing policies for low-income workers, building cultural institutions to serve union members and workers. In the past 8 months, we have established 73 grassroots trade unions and developed over 6,000 union members" - Mr. Nguyen The Lap informed.
According to Mr. Lap, in the coming time, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation will continue to innovate operating methods, reduce formal activities, strengthen direct activities at the grassroots level, and focus more on the business sector, industrial parks, economic zones and places with a large concentration of workers.
