On October 11, the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) held a launching ceremony for the Pregnant and Midwifery Club at the Trade Union of Du Duc Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Huong Industrial Park, Tan Huong Commune, Dong Thap Province).

After approving the charter and operating regulations, Vice President of the Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor Ngo Thi Thuy Trang presented the decision to establish the Club for Pregnant Women and Young Children. Accordingly, the Club operates under the direction of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Du Duc Vietnam Company Limited with a Board of Directors of 5 members.

The Parents and Children's Club of the Trade Union of Du Duc Vietnam Co., Ltd. operates on a voluntary basis, aiming to create conditions for union members and workers in the company to be consulted, supported, and improve skills and knowledge for female union members, workers, and laborers during pregnancy and raising young children.

In addition to coordinating with the Trade Union to strengthen the care of female workers such as organizing cultural, artistic and sports activities to create an exciting atmosphere among female workers and giving gifts to female workers in difficult circumstances... The Obstetrics and Pediatrics Club also has the task of linking, inviting experts and specialized medical facilities to organize seminars, sharing new knowledge and good experiences in pregnancy and raising young children.

It is known that Du Duc Vietnam Co., Ltd. currently has more than 9,300 employees, of which about 73% are female. Therefore, the establishment of the Pregnant Women and Young Children's Club not only meets the practical needs and aspirations of workers, especially pregnant female workers and young children, but also aims to innovate and improve the Women's Union activities of grassroots trade unions, meeting the requirements and tasks of the trade union organization in the new period.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee presented many practical gifts to club members. Du Duc Vietnam Co., Ltd. donated 500,000 VND in cash to each member; the Provincial Federation of Labor donated 35 free general health check-up and screening vouchers to union members with a total value of more than 40,000,000 VND sponsored by Thai Huy General Clinic, Phuong Chau Sa Dec Hospital donated to the Club a free health check-up and screening package for union members with a total value of more than 30,000,000 VND.
