Hundreds of meaningful gifts have been given to workers and laborers in difficulty by the Hai Chau District Labor Federation, Da Nang City.

The hard lives

Responding to Workers' Month, the Labor Federation of Hai Chau District (Da Nang City) organized a meeting and presented support to union members and workers in difficult circumstances in the district on May 27.

Here, many union members received meaningful gifts from the District Labor Federation. At the same time, this is also an opportunity for union members to share and encourage each other to overcome difficulties in life.

For Ms. Tran Thi Phuong Dong, a catering staff at Binh Minh Kindergarten, this gift of 1 million VND is like a "shower" in the dry day. Ms. Dong shared that with an income of several million VND per month from food work, she has to alone cover all family expenses.

"Receiving this gift, I was really touched. This is not only material support but also a great source of spiritual encouragement, helping me have more determination to overcome difficulties," said Ms. Dong.

Like Ms. Dong, Ms. Doan Thi Nhung, a union member, could not hide her joy when receiving the support gift. Ms. Nhung is the main breadwinner in the family and currently has a young child of school age. Due to difficult family circumstances, Ms. Nhung had to work hard to make ends meet.

"I am very grateful for the attention of the Labor Federation. This amount of money will help me cover some of my living expenses, helping my children have better learning conditions," Ms. Nhung emotionally shared.

The stories and difficult circumstances of Ms. Dong and Ms. Nhung also represent hundreds of workers and laborers who need the cooperation and help of the community.

Helping workers

At the program, the Labor Federation of Hai Chau District presented 300 gifts, each worth 1 million VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. The total value of gifts is up to VND 300 million, showing the deep concern of the Trade Union organization for the lives of workers. The atmosphere in the hall becomes warmer than ever when the gifts are given to the workers who are in need of help. Each gift is not only material support but also a great source of encouragement, helping them to be more confident in life.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Trung, Vice Chairman of the Hai Chau District Labor Federation, affirmed: During the Workers' Month, the District Labor Federation has implemented many practical activities to care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers. In addition to giving gifts, we also organize billiards sports tournaments to exchange between grassroots trade unions, organize legal consulting, propagate labor policies, and pay attention to supporting union members' children to overcome difficulties and study well.

Mr. Trung also emphasized that each gift is the heart of the Trade Union organization, showing the spirit of "solidarity", confirming the role of the Labor Federation is a solid support for workers in all circumstances. The program of giving gifts to support workers and disadvantaged workers of the Hai Chau District Labor Federation has contributed to spreading love and relaying disadvantaged situations, and affirming the important role of trade unions in taking care of the lives of workers.
