Information from the People's Committee of Lang Son province, there are currently over 330,000 people in the labor force in the area, accounting for more than 41% of the population, of which 323,700 people are employed, reaching 95.7%. Notably, about 83,000 workers in the province are working in localities outside the province, equivalent to 24.8% of the total labor force.
Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan - Vice Chairwoman of Lang Son Provincial People's Committee - informed that the province has an abundant labor force, but the quality of human resources is not uniform. The rate of trained workers with degrees and certificates is only about 30%, while the work of connecting labor supply and demand still has shortcomings. According to Ms. Nhan, this is a bottleneck that needs to be removed soon to meet the development requirements of the province.
From that reality, Lang Son promotes counseling, career guidance, job introduction and gradually modernizes the labor market. At the end of March 2026, the province put into operation the Online Job Exchange in 2026.
Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan assessed that the operation of the online platform is a preparation step for Lang Son to be ready to connect with the National Job Exchange when the Ministry of Home Affairs deploys it.
According to a report by the Lang Son Provincial Employment Service Center, in the first quarter of 2026, the unit provided labor, employment, career orientation and job introduction advice to 6,748 turns of people. There were 335 turns of workers registered to find jobs, but the number of people introduced to have new jobs reached 100 people.
At the same time, the center's website recorded 3,842 visits, posting 41 news and articles; the number of candidates accessing through the digital platform reached 2,241 visits, while the recruiting businesses accessed 720 visits.
At Luxshare ICT Co., Ltd., Bac Ninh province, the enterprise currently employs about 40,000 workers, of which nearly 7,000 are from Lang Son, mainly working in the field of electronic component assembly. The income of workers ranges from 9 - 13 million VND/person/month, accompanied by dormitory support and living conditions.
According to Ms. Tran Thanh Nhan, in the coming time, functional agencies, training institutions and businesses need to closely coordinate in career counseling, training associated with market needs and labor recruitment.
