Difficulties turn into creative motivation
The initiative "Making and installing a material plaque-leading drive unit through variations and motor engines separated from the weaving machine structure" of the group of authors of Da Nang Telala Co., Ltd. (100% Japanese capital, operating in Hoa Khanh Industrial Park, Da Nang City for more than 14 years) honored the representative of Da Nang City to participate in the exhibition "Creative Journey - Aspiration to Rising" at the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Labor Cultural Palace organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Based on the workshop's experience, 75 DKY 6/45 weaving machines - specialized in the production of small-sized ribbons - have major limitations when the grille system is completely dependent on the main rotation axle. When the filming speed changes, the film is easily stretched or stacked, causing many weaving errors, affecting productivity and product quality.
Concerned about this issue, the group of authors spent a lot of time researching and proposing solutions to make independent drive clusters, including 3-phase electric motors, mechanical transmitters and speed control variants, helping to provide stable and accurate raw material loops, no longer dependent on the main axle of the machine.
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Hung - HSE Manager, Da Nang Telala Company Limited, a member of the author group, to complete the initiative, the group took about a month, from the idea formation stage, experimental installation to stable operation.
"From the beginning, we also encountered many difficulties. Members must clearly understand the principles of operation of weaving machines to determine in detail how they affect performance. Then it takes time to choose raw materials, accessories, and materials to ensure the machine operates stably and is easy to use, while balancing the initial investment cost. But in the end, the tiring days were rewarded worthyly, bringing practical results to the company" - Mr. Hung shared.
When the initiative comes into practice, the elastic speed is accurately controlled, the ratio of standard goods is raised to 97-98%, the material saves 5-10%, the productivity increases by 10-15%, bringing an average profit of 50 million VND/month/machine. The host company in Japan has approved the implementation of over 10 machines, expected to bring revenue of VND 500 million/month.
Not only bringing economic benefits, the initiative also has great social and environmental value. Ms. Le Thi Viet Ha - Deputy Manager of the Quality Department, a member of the author group - said: "The solution has created a more stable working environment when machines operate smoothly. Thanks to that, workers can operate more conveniently and easily, while significantly saving electricity, gas, water and reducing the amount of waste generated. This is an important step forward for the company towards the goal of green and sustainable production".
Spreading the spirit of creative labor
According to Mr. Nguyen Khac Hung, throughout the research and implementation process, the group of authors always received the support of the grassroots Trade Union as well as the company's leadership. Support in terms of time, funding, and materials has helped members become more confident to be creative.
This is also a clear demonstration of the role of the Trade Union organization in encouraging and supporting union members and workers to boldly promote the spirit of innovation, contributing to the increasingly in-depth emulation movement for creative labor.
The special feature of the initiative is that it is formed from the very people directly involved in the production line at the company.
According to Ms. Tran Thi Uyen Sa - Director of Da Nang Telala Company Limited, the success of the initiative not only contributes to improving production efficiency, saving costs, and protecting the environment, but also creates an exciting atmosphere, encouraging the working spirit of employees in the company.
The initiative being recognized and put into practice has brought great joy to the Da Nang Telala labor collective, while affirming the intelligence, creativity and efforts of Vietnamese workers - Ms. Sa emphasized.
The Board of Directors also affirmed that it will continue to maintain a working culture of both complying with standard procedures and encouraging innovation.
