Mr. Tong Duy Tinh is currently Secretary of the Party Cell, Director of Hoa Phuong Do Hotel (Trade Union Tourism and Service Co., Ltd. - Vietnam Education Union).
Up to now, Mr. Tinh has had many initiatives applied at the unit to save costs and improve productivity, typically such as: Each person is good at one job and knows how to do many jobs; diligently building trust with customers; mobilizing internal resources to renovate, repair, and upgrade hotels...
Mr. Tinh shared that Hoa Phuong Do Hotel currently has 30 officials and employees. Faced with increasingly fierce competition between accommodation establishments and limited resources for reinvestment, he constantly thinks about using available human resources to improve business efficiency based on existing facilities and human resources.
The initiative "Each person is good at one job and knows how to do many jobs" he proposed to take advantage of the hotel's available human resources to use in business activities, strengthen coordination and support in work between departments.
Accordingly, on days when there are few customers and there are many empty rooms, Mr. Tinh balances and arranges personnel to repair degraded items, renovate flower gardens, and clean up the environment... Each staff member, a group of idle staff members will take on a part of the work to reduce costs of hiring outside workers, creating conditions to stabilize jobs, and ensure income for workers (with enough working days per month).
During the implementation of the initiative, Mr. Tinh said that the biggest internal strength is the team of employees and managers of the hotel who are enthusiastically participating. Along with mobilizing financial resources from each family of officials and employees (within the permitted capacity) to sign loan contracts at bank interest rates to serve the construction, repair, and upgrading of hotels; leaders also mobilize the collective strength of the Youth Union and Trade Union to participate, and at the same time take advantage of all available resources and facilities of the unit to generate revenue for hotels, such as planting green trees, flowers, ornamental plants, and growing clean vegetables...
This initiative helps each employee to take on other tasks to maximize each person's working time, while promoting strengths, taking advantage of each employee's strengths to assign suitable positions to optimize work efficiency and cut unnecessary costs," Mr. Tinh said.
Mr. Tinh's initiative "Diligently building trust with customers" helps improve the responsibility and awareness of officials and employees in all customer service services. Stemming from the motto of taking customer satisfaction as a measure of his brand, Mr. Tinh insisted that from the leadership to each employee, they must be aware that building trust with customers needs to come from both thinking and action.
Not only from the usual communication and welcome words, I want each staff member of Hoa Phuong Do Hotel to imbibe this spirit from their hearts. Customers are our source of livelihood, we must be responsible for responding in the most standard and beautiful way," Mr. Tinh shared.

Ms. Pham Thi Thao - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Hoa Phuong Do Hotel - said that thanks to the application of the above initiatives, all members in the hotel are aware that contributions and enjoyments must always be linked with each other, must always put the interests of the collective above personal interests. At the same time, everyone in the agency is cheerful, sociable, enthusiastic in their work, does not choose easy things for themselves, and loves and helps each other.
After each initiative is successfully applied, officials, union members, and workers all look forward to Comrade Tinh's next initiative. Perhaps starting from leadership, understanding the unit's situation, and being dedicated to work, we are enthusiastic about implementing each initiative comrade puts forward, having vitality in practice," Ms. Thao said.
Sharing about the motivation to have initiatives/innovations in work, Mr. Tinh said: "I always receive the support, encouragement, and sharing of leaders of the Vietnam Education Union, local departments and agencies, especially the support of all officials, employees, and workers at the hotel. Happier, the initiative when applied has brought economic efficiency, creating jobs and stable income for workers. This is the greatest motivation for managers.
