In the context of a volatile energy market, the requirements for safety, efficiency and cost reduction are increasingly high, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Corporation (PVEP) determines that innovation is no longer an option, but a mandatory requirement to adapt and develop.
The movements "Contributing initiatives - Giving ideas", "Good labor, Creative labor" are implemented synchronously, closely linked to production tasks at each unit, focusing on key areas such as drilling, mining, mining operation, cost optimization and digital transformation.
In 2025, the Corporation recorded 162 initiatives, bringing benefits of more than 152 million USD. In which, the mining development sector accounted for a large proportion with 65 initiatives, contributing more than 135 million USD. Many solutions are applied directly to stages with high costs, helping to save resources, improve operational efficiency and ensure production safety.
Not only stopping at numbers, the creative movement at PVEP has created a clear change in thinking. Workers from working according to procedures have proactively proposed improvements, participated in solving complex technical problems, and gradually formed inter-sectoral integrated solutions.
In this process, PVEP Trade Union plays a bridging role, coordinating with professionals to organize movements, evaluate initiatives, promptly reward and replicate effective models. Through this, many ideas have been realized, creating sustainable value and having the ability to be widely applied.
Stepping into 2026, PVEP continues to identify innovation as one of the pillars to complete production and business goals, optimize costs and improve investment efficiency.
Innovation Day 2026 with the theme "Optimizing operation, exploitation and improving oil recovery coefficient" held on May 7, 2026 will be a forum to connect ideas, share experiences and promote highly applicable solutions.
From the emulation movement, PVEP is gradually building a regular, continuous and effectively measurable creative ecosystem. This will be the foundation for the Corporation to continue to break through, contributing to ensuring national energy security and sustainable development of the oil and gas industry.
